Movie Review

"The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2" is my ultimate comfort movie :] it's a wild ride of horror and comedy that I can't get enough of. The characters are so much fun to watch and the SOUNDTRACK is fantastic (Oingo Boingo!) Every moment is a delight. They absolutely nailed the tone, balancing scares with laughs perfectly. Bubba's crush on Stretch adds an adorable layer to his character and is such a sweet touch to the movie. Watching Chop-Top do his thing is wildly entertaining (Bill Moseley is a treasure!) The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2 is wonderfully absurd and I adore every bloody, bizarre minute of it! A complete 180 from the original but it works so well. TCM is my favorite movie franchise so I adore all of the films but this one is wearing a crown made of gold in my mind.

It is the sequel to The Texas Chain Saw Massacre (1974) and the second installment in The Texas Chainsaw Massacre film series. The film stars Dennis Hopper, Caroline Williams, Bill Johnson, Bill Moseley, and Jim Siedow. The plot follows Vanita "Stretch" Brock, a radio host who is victimized and abducted by Leatherface and his cannibalistic family; meanwhile, Lt. Boude "Lefty" Enright, the uncle of Sally and Franklin Hardesty—both prior victims of the family—hunts them down.
