My Thoughts
"The Shape of Water" holds a special place in my heart because it beautifully explores the theme of monster romance and the idea that outcasts can find (and deserve) love. It's one of the most visually stunning films ever made, as well as being deep, touching, and heartfelt. The film brings me to tears and evokes a profound emotional response with each viewing. I am deeply moved by its portrayal of compassion and acceptance for those who are different. As Elisa says, "When he looks at me, the way he looks at me... He does not know what I lack or how I am incomplete. He sees me for what I am, as I am." This quote perfectly captures the film's essence and the profound connection I feel to its story. I too would loved to be whisked away by a sexy fish god.
"Unable to perceive the shape of you, I find you all around me. Your presence fills my eyes with Your love, It humbles my heart, For you are everywhere."
